Food as Medicine Festival

Aitkin Farmer's Market, 190 Southgate Drive, Aitkin, MN 56431
Saturday, May 31, 2025    10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

The Food as Medicine Festival will be a free public educational event on the importance of fresh, local, seasonal food as it relates to personal health and wellbeing.

Our chapter is a sponsor, and the festival is produced by Clear Lake Gardens.

Come learn and enjoy two panel discussions and two cooking demonstrations with professionals from Riverwood Healthcare Center, Aitkin Public Health and local farms and businesses. The content will cover the topics of “food as medicine”, food growing, preparation, preservation and seasonal, local food sourcing.

This event will be adjacent to the Aitkin Farmer's Market to highlight our local farms, food producers and food access programs. Also at the Festival, Clear Lake Gardens will roll out the second version of the Aitkin Farm Trail Map and introduce a new farm-to-table program called Aitkin Eats.
