SFA brings a cafe chat to Luverne!
In today’s world, acquiring new or additional land is difficult for most people. More and more have begun asking the question, “How can I get more from the land I have?”
You want to try some cover crops… once they’re planted, then what?
You want to find a way to decrease your replacement animal costs… but how?
SFA’s Jonathan Kilpatrick and Angie Walter can answer the questions “Then what?”; “But how?”
Jonathan Kilpatrick is the Farmer Education Coordinator for SFA and has years of experience working with farms to create more intentional use of their land to drive down input costs – whether it’s increasing soil fertility using livestock and cover crops or decreasing intensive labor by turning to managed grazing. SFA’s On-Farm Consulting Service is free to SFA Members and is a popular member benefit!
Angie Walter, Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship Program Coordinator and a former conventional dairy farmer now runs her Dairy alongside her husband via managed grazing and organic practices. The Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship Program offers an outlet for grazing dairy farms to strategically tackle labor issues and potentially even develop succession plans for their farms.
Join SFA experts Jonathan and Angie for a cafe chat at Sterling’s Cafe & Grille in Luverne from Noon-1:30PM on Thursday November 16th to learn about these opportunities in a casual setting with personal conversation.
Free to attend! Lunch is provided. Registration is requested, walk-ups are welcome.
Address: 105 E Main St. Luverne, Minnesota 56156
