In this session, we’ll explore how to renew and restore your body’s nutrient density through the winter months by supporting your liver, maintaining mineral and vitamin balance, and choosing foods and habits that help your body thrive. Learn practical, everyday ways to boost wellness, strengthen immunity, and sustain vitality all season long.

Presenter Bio

Jolene Carlson is the owner/operator of a sustainable hobby farm in Cokato, MN. Her purpose and passion is educating on how nutrient dense foods can heal both people and the environment. Currently, Jolene works full-time for the Minnesota National Guard in Prevention & Public Health. Lieutenant Colonel Carlson has been a traditional Guardsmen for 20 years currently attached to the Minnesota National Guard Medical Detachment as Deputy Commander of Administration. Jolene currently serves on the MN Soil Health Coalition Board and has served on other non-profit Boards supporting systems change for the past 10 years. Jolene spent 20 years as a high school science teacher, and over 25 years in emergency services and education. Jolene has a Masters of Education in Env and Nat Sciences and a Masters of Science in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine, and has worked as a State of MN Licensed Nutritionist with clients for the past 5 years. When able, she enjoys foraging for nutrient-rich foods and sharing the message that everything in nature is connected.
