Cultivating a Sustainable Future at the UMD Land Lab

Led by the new farm manager John Beaton, we will tour the Land Lab and discuss how the university farm can be a resource to area growers through research and education. We will see the renewed market garden, see a demonstration of their compost spreader, and discuss the biochar and forest assisted migration projects.

This is a 101 level program.

SFA staff and volunteers occasionally take photos during our workshops, cafe chats and field days for promotional purposes and to use as documentation of events to share with our funders.  If you do not wish to be photographed, please let our event host know — we'll make every effort to make sure you are not photographed.
