Chad and Christi Ryburn started The Garlic Farmers from a shared love of cooking, health benefits, a dedication to sustainable agriculture, and a common interest in garlic. They each have unique experiences and skills that contribute to the formation of their garlic enterprise. Chad loves digging in the soil after a day of work and in the evenings and is a farmer at heart. He has been in elementary education for 32 years and someday hopes to run their greenhouse and garlic farm full time. Christi has a Masters in Business Communication and a strong background in business and marketing. Her experience in branding and distribution became essential in the early stages of The Garlic Farmers. They also have six children who all help in the planting, weeding, harvesting and drying of the garlic.

Currently up to 15,000 bulbs for this season, including 13 varieties, they plan to expand to a full acre. We’ll see the garlic in the field shortly before harvest, as well as their handling and processing facilities, where they also make garlic powder and garlic spices.
