Join us at Shubats Fruits for a field day discussing fruit varieties and management strategies of a variety of small fruits and berries. We will see established elderberries, grapes, honey berry, Juneberry, blueberry, black currants, red currants, white currants, gooseberries, and sea berries. Deb also has apple, plum and pear orchards, and grows veggies and flowers.
Deb Shubat has a BS in biology with a concentration on Botany and a masters degree in horticulture specifically fruit science. Shubat was greenhouse director and biology instructor at UMD from 1984 to 2017. She has been building her farm since 1993.
