In 2018, Tom and Amanda Murphy purchased an old farm in Aitkin, MN. Once the land was used to graze sheep, dairy cows, and cattle but was left to naturalize after the farmer retired. Weeds and trees grew in the pasture and the fences were no longer functional. Tom & Amanda designed a multi-species grazing plan to create a silvo-pasture to support a pasture based livestock farm.
The farm tour will walk through multi-species use to work with the land including goats, poultry, pigs, and dairy cow. View the fencing design to support a flexible rotational grazing plan to support multiple species. Fencing will include field fence, electric netting, and multi-strand electric.
Please bring your own chair, table setting & flatware.
