Greater Mille Lacs Annual Meeting & Potluck

Please mark your calendars for the afternoon of Sunday, August 20 and join the Greater Mille Lacs Chapter leaders for the annual meeting and potluck. We’ll have a quick welcome and set up of food at the Glory Baptist Church community room, and then move to a farm tour and speaker at Ole Lake Farm, which is just down the road.

We’re lucky to have Tom Gervais with the NRCS as our speaker and guide to the Ole Lake Farm forest management plan. Tom Gervais is the District Conservationist for the USDA – Natural Resources Conservation Service in Aitkin, MN. Tom has spent the past 20 years working with farmers, ranches and landowners across northeast Minnesota to develop Conservation Plans and implement projects to improve and preserve the natural resources on private land. Tom will speak about the technical and financial assistance that NRCS staff can provide to farmers and how agency staff can work with farmers to develop whole farm conservation plans to address conservation and production goals.

Registration: It is free to attend. Registration is not required.
