Join the Forage Council to watch the documentary “Roots So Deep.” We’ll have two locations to watch from: Hunt Utilities Group in Pine River and M State in Wadena.
Following the film, we’ll enjoy a virtual Q&A with producer Peter Byck.
Watch the trailer here: https://youtu.be/3PpPmkSAiEw
Roots So Deep asks the question “is there a better way” to what we do as ranchers or farmers? What if we grazed cattle to mimic the manner buffalo once roamed and grazed? What if we mimic nature in how we graze livestock? Could adaptive grazing bring back depleted soils, restore wildlife habits, and help bring farmers out of debt? Could it slow climate change?
Peter Byck is a captivating storyteller and talented videographer who also produced Carbon Nation and the Carbon Cowboys documentaries. Through real farm examples and interviews with researchers and scientists, Byck tells the story of how regenerative farming systems can heal the land, people and rural communities. His films are thought provoking, and give us solutions and promise towards a better future.
