The East Central Chapter of SFA is hosting a discussion with Dan MacSwain on Saturday November 2, 2024, that touches on pasture improvement practices, how to win against invasive species and transitioning crop fields into grazing pastures.
Dan MacSwain is the Natural Resource Coordinator for Washington County, Minnesota, where he oversees the stewardship of the county’s 5,000-acre park system. With a focus on prairie and oak savanna restoration, Dan leads efforts in invasive species control, utilizing techniques such as prescribed grazing, fire and haying. He also manages wildlife, oversees cropland, and fosters collaboration with nonprofit organizations and dedicated volunteers to enhance the natural areas.
Registration: It is free to attend. Registration is requested, walkups welcome.
