Join the Lake Agassiz Sustainable Farming Association Chapter for a wonderful day of local food and farms!

We will begin the day at Windflower Natives, a company focused on cultivating native plant communities, specializing in prairie flowers. Alex Blondeau started Windflower Natives because of his love of the prairie and pieces of land that have never been converted to agriculture. We’ll take a walk around their native prairie and visit the greenhouse.
Next we will head to Pure Joy Farms. This family farm raises heritage hogs in their woodlot and Icelandic sheep on restored prairie. They sell pork, lamb, hand-milked sheep body products, pumpkins, and other vegetables. We will also take a break here for a catered on-farm meal using local produce grown right at Pure Joy! This meal is being provided by the amazing LaFerme based out of Alexandria.
Our last stop will be at Acres of Eden, an organic, regenerative family farm with a long history. They raise eggs, beef, and mealworms on farm.
Please arrive at 204 E Lincoln Ave. (Old Shopko/Gymnastics parking lot) by 10:45 a.m. to hop on the Farm Tour Bus! We will leave promptly at 11:00 a.m.
