Our second pasture walk in our 2024 series will be at Eric Blaha’s farm in Verndale!
Come see Eric’s pasture system that is the basis for his grassfed beef business. He has fall seeded cover crops that he will be grazing and calving on during the walk. We will tour Eric’s rotational grazing system and hear about his goals and plans for the future of the farm. He grazes annuals as a regular part of his pasture system, and uses a No-till drill to establish them.
If you have questions or have thought about adding annuals into your operation this will be a good time to join us and have some of those conversations. We will also be discussing watering systems, strip grazing, calving systems, forages and grass management.
Hosted in collaboration with the Crow Wing River Basin Forage Council.
Registration: This event is free to attend. Registration is requested, and walkups are welcome.
Address: Eric Blaha Farm, 18690 494 St. Verndale, MN 56481
SFA staff and volunteers occasionally take photos during our workshops, cafe chats and field days for promotional purposes and to use as documentation of events to share with our funders. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let our event host know — we’ll make every effort to make sure you are not photographed.
